Egypt: Say Hello to the Pharaohs

Did you ever dream of Great Pyramids, Sphinxes, hiking on Mountains, camel trekking, sand dunes, and hotels on the warm shores of Red Sea. Then, Egypt is your dream destination. If these are reasons enough for you to drop your shovel, and check out your wallet, you can relax, as there are number of cheap flights which connect to this fantastic city. But, what did you see in your dreams? Let’s take a look:

The Pyramids of Giza

These pyramids are the top crowd pullers by their own right. They sit pretty tight on the south-western suburbs of Cairo. And, the Great Pyramid of Khufu is an awesome structure to mesmerize you with its height of about 139 meters, thus making it the largest pyramid in Egypt.

Red Sea Reef

A paradise for diving, the Red Sea Reef is of the most spectacular places to dive in. The underwater seafloor and the colourful seascapes put you in a trance. It is fascinating to watch so many species of exotic sea creatures, swimming along. You also have sea resorts to leisure around as well.

Marsa Alam go Swimming Snorkelling

Marsa Alam, once a small fishing village has crept up the ladder in tourist attraction graph. It is one of the best places to get wet in the sea and go down below snorkelling. Recent efforts are being made to develop it further. There are a number of good lodges and camps in the area where you can stay. Then on the Wadi el Gamal coast area you can visit the national park, with mangroves, and palm trees which create a spectacular view.

Camel Treks

Getting your Indiana Jones hat on you, ride on the camel back, across the beauty of Sinai on a two day Camel Safari from Dahab. The openness and rugged features of the landscape are a delight to your eyes and your soul. The White Canyon, Ain Khudra Oasis, Inscription Rock, El Hemedat, Closed Canyon, etc. are some of the wonders that you are likely to encounter on this safari.

The Sphinx of Giza

It is an amazing structure with a head of a woman, the body of a lion and the wings of bird. The Greeks were the ones who decided to give this astonishing structure the name ‘sphinx’. But many sphinxes have head of a king wearing his headdress and body of a lion. Though, you also come across sphinxes with ram heads, as well.

Cruise on the Nile

Cruising along the Nile is nice way to say hello to Upper Egypt. All along its course you find ancient history embedded on the landscape around, and a very scenic view of the surroundings. And, sailing by Feluccas, a sail boat is an experience on its own. These boats have been used since ancient times and are still a preferred choice of tourists who like to add some adventure on their sailing endeavours.

Egyptian Museum

It is a mecca for art lovers visiting this Egyptian Museum. It is one of the top most attractions on Cairo. The museum has a ground floor and the first floor. Its ground floor is dedicated to papyrus and coin collections of ancient Egypt. On the first floor there are many pieces of art, dating back to the ancient kings, and of course, you have a room dedicated to the mummies.

With so many attractions waiting for you, if you seem unable to procrastinate further, pack your bags; if you are low on your budget, no problems check out the cheap flights available and fly off to this unique mystery world. Good news, is that this dream destination is very much affordable.
