This is our take on growing up in the city of Brotherly Love. During the summer time, some of us growing up in the city didn’t have the opportunity to travel during our summer breaks. Philly was our shore house, our Hawaii, our paradise. Fire hydrant showers, family BBQ’s in the backyard, block parties, swimming in the fountains, and so on. There were also public pools, but from my experience growing up in South Philly– “If the maximum capacity for the pool was 500 people, then there would be at least a thousand people standing in that pool trying to figure out who peed in it.
